Fiedler, Arthur
(17 dic. 1894, Boston, Mass., EE.UU.–10 jul. 1979, Brookline, Mass.).

Director de orquesta estadounidense. Hijo de un violinista distinguido, se formó en Berlín y en 1915 se incorporó a la Orquesta Sinfónica de Boston. En la década de 1920 comenzó a dirigir y grabar con su propia Boston Sinfonietta y varios grupos corales. En 1929 organizó una serie de conciertos al aire libre con tanto éxito, que se convirtieron finalmente en una institución, los Boston Pops. Desde entonces su nombre ha estado inextricablemente ligado con los Pops, los que lograron triunfos espectaculares bajo su dirección.
